Depression and anxiety

Depression and anxiety such as social anxiety often go together. Sometimes we don't know whether anxiety has led to depression or whether depression has led to more anxiety. However, we do know that if we manage to inhibit anxiety in depressed people that depressive symptoms are often reduced too. We do reduce anxiety and therefore depression with nutrition, supplements, psychedelic therapy and phytotherapy.

What phytotherapy/natural medicine can do for anxiety and depression is obvious. The plants useful for reducing stress are the following:

  • Alzheimer's plant - Bacopa Monnieri
  • Common ballote - Ballota nigra
  • Common or biennial hawthorn - Crataegus monogyna/laevigata
  • Sleeping cap - Escholtzia californica
  • Japanese walnut tree - Ginkgo biloba
  • Hemlock - Griffonia simplicifolia
  • Hop - Humulus lupulus
  • St John's wort - Hypericum perforatum
  • True lavender - Lavendula vera
  • Hartgespan - Leonurus cardiaca
  • Basil - Ocimum basilicum
  • Common marjoram - Origanum majorana
  • Wild passion flower - Passiflora incarnata
  • Kava - Piper methysticum
  • Snakewood - Rauvolfia serpentina
  • Pinkroot - Rhodiola rosea
  • White willow - Salix alba
  • Scutellaria lateriflora
  • Betony/feverwort - Stachys officinalis
  • Common valerian - Valeriana officinalis
  • Yew - Verbena officinalis
  • Ashwaganda - Withania somnifera
  • Jujube - ziziphus zizyphus

Fighting depression with magic mushrooms, healthy food and herbs

At the bottom of this post is a list of herbs that can help fight depression. Although we focus on the psychedelic therapy against depression, the beneficial effects of nutrition cannot be ignored during our approach to overcoming depression. But there are many other things you can use against depression and combining techniques always works better than just applying a single technique.
