Hi, I'm from the UK and I want to do magic truffles in the Netherlands. Can I just pick a hotel in Amsterdam and do the truffle session with you?

Yes, you can certainly choose a hotel in Amsterdam for your magic truffle session. But here’s a suggestion: book a private Airbnb (an entire house or holiday home) for more privacy.

At Triptherapie, we offer the flexibility to hold truffle sessions at a location of your choice, including hotels, Airbnbs or private residences throughout the Netherlands. Although hotels are perfectly fine, it might be better to use a private Airbnb for greater privacy. Additionally, we recommend that you allow for a recovery day after the session to give yourself time to process and reflect on your experience.

When you book a session, you can arrange for one of our experienced guides, like Marcel or Sascha, to meet you at your chosen location in Amsterdam. This allows you to enjoy the session in a comfortable and familiar environment, which can enhance the overall experience.

I would recommend not going to Amsterdam, but out into the countryside instead. There are towns set in natural surroundings close to Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport.

The towns listed below are quite lovely and are surrounded by forests, dunes and the sea; they are no more than 30 minutes’ drive from Amsterdam and Schiphol:

  • Katwijk
  • Northwijk
  • Noordwijkerhout
  • The zilk
  • Birdsong
  • Bennebroek
  • Heemstede
  • Haarlem
  • Zandvoort
  • Bloemendaal
  • Overveen
  • Santpoort-Zuid
  • Bentveld

Or, if you’re coming by boat from Newcastle, you could try the beach at IJmuiden.

@ognenovski: Personally, I think the most beautiful natural areas near Amsterdam are the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen and the Noordwijk area. So this is the coastline from Noordwijk to IJmuiden, but IJmuiden itself looks a bit too industrial because of the TATA steelworks nearby.
