For the program 'Spuiten en Slikken', Gwen van Poorten wanted to experience a mushroom trip. She decided to do this after a spiritual kambo session. The goal of her mushroom trip was to find more peace and be less hard on herself. She decided to participate in a mushroom ceremony with not-so-great guidance. It can be better

Many people think they know how to be a good trip guide, but it is not always as easy as it seems. Managing the needs of a person tripping well is easy during good trips and a bit more difficult during challenging experiences. The most important thing is that the participants are safe and feel safe themselves, as these do not always run synchronously. As soon as everyone feels safe enough to turn inward, a wordless phase is better for engaging in introspection. Again, this is only possible if you feel safe.
