At Triptherapie, we combine elements of conventional psychology with the transformative power of psilocybin, in a way that both safe as responsible is. What is sometimes popularly known psychedelic psychotherapy is mentioned, we offer as psychedelic therapy: a guided process in which truffles containing psilocybin are used as a tool for personal growth, processing, and healing.

The difference lies in the legal framework: psilocybin may be used legally in the Netherlands in the form of magic truffles, but it is not (yet) a recognized medicine. Therefore, we are not allowed to use this method do not offer as medical psychotherapy. However, Triptherapie does employ psychologists, therapists, and other professionals who are accustomed to working within medical or psychological frameworks. During a session, they formally act as tripsitter, but as therapists actually provide value in the preparation and especially during the integration process after the session.

For example, the following people work at our company:

  1. Ylva Doorewaard Boekhout, BIG-registered healthcare psychologist (BIG number 19930515225), who supports Triptherapie as a consultant for safety and psychological care.

  2. Sascha de Waal and Reineke Brandt, both NIP-registered psychologists, who guide clients in a way that combines regular psychology with body-oriented and trauma-focused methods.

  3. Ronald Hochstenbach, An psychosocial therapist Registered in the AGB register, specializing in, among others, Jungian therapy, IFS, and psychodrama.

  4. Gijs Tecklenburg, social psychiatric nurse and mindfulness trainer.

  5. And supervisors such as Marcel van der Putten and Janneke van de Geijn, who, thanks to their extensive practical experience (>2,200 sessions for Marcel), provide safe, intuitive, and in-depth guidance.

The psilocybin in our truffles is converted in the body into psilocin, a substance structurally similar to serotonin, an important neurotransmitter. This similarity allows psilocin to bind to serotonin receptors, leading to the well-known mind-altering effects. During such a session, a deeper connection with one's own feelings often develops, along with insight into unconscious patterns and a heightened sense of interconnectedness — with yourself and the world around you.

Our working method consists of three phases:

  1. PreparationYou set intentions and delve into your personal history and blockages.

  2. Psychedelic session: Tailored to your goal — from microdosing to a complete inner journey — guided in a safe setting by a suitable guide.

  3. IntegrationGiving meaning to what you have experienced, supported by reflective techniques, psychological interpretation, or creative expression. This is where real change occurs.

We strongly believe in the power of what is also known as the inner healing intelligence This is referred to as: the realization that healing is not “given,” but is allowed to arise from within. Our guides are there to facilitate that process with respect, expertise, and humanity.

Do you want to discover what psychedelic therapy what this means for you, with or without BIG/NIP-registered guidance? Then fill out the iTriptherapie intake form in. This way, we can match you with the right facilitator and session format.
