Book an analog MDMA session for a date after July 1, 2025

The Dutch government implements per July 1, 2025 the new NPS law in, which contain a large number of psychoactive substances, including many MDMA analogues, in one fell swoop illegal makes. For clients of Triptherapie, this means that supervised MDMA sessions in their current form will change. Fortunately, there is now still a unique opportunity to make use of MDMA analogue sessions with a Triptherapie supervisor.

Guided MDMA sessions: what is changing?

So far, Triptherapie offers legal MDMA sessions by means of an MDMA analogue that is not yet on the Opium List. This substance is very similar to MDMA in terms of effects, but falls outside current legislation. As of July 1, 2025, these substances, together with all phenethylamines, cathinones, and benzofurans, will be banned under the new generic substances list (list IA).

This means that as of July 1, 2025, Triptherapie may no longer provide or make available MDMA analogues during sessions. After all, the substance will then fall under the prohibited groups in the new Opium Act. Nevertheless, guidance during an MDMA experience remains possible through a so-called harm reduction approach.

After July 1st, clients may a small amount yourself (maximum 500 mg) MDMA or an MDMA analogue bring along, as long as:

• the beforehand has been tested at an accredited testing center ;
• the use clearly as own initiative and own consumption is designated.

In this setup, Triptherapie functions as professional guide or 'tripsitter'‘, without any responsibility for the origin or composition of the product. This is fully in line with the Guidelines for Criminal Procedure under the Opium Act, which states that use is not punishable as long as it concerns a small amount for personal use.
