Best team of Triptherapie,

Is it possible that I have depressive symptoms after using MDMA? And can I do anything to reduce them?

Thanks!

Hello @Lily

Yes, it is possible that you experience depressive symptoms after using MDMA. This may be related, among other things, to the depletion of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. After using MDMA, a deficiency of these substances can occur, which can lead to feelings of gloom and fatigue, better known as the ""Tuesday slump".

To reduce the risk of depressive symptoms after using MDMA, there are several strategies you can consider:

Timing of useTry not to use MDMA too late in the day. It is recommended to schedule sessions before 5:00 PM, preferably between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, to minimize sleep problems.

Recovery time: Allow a recovery period of at least one month between sessions. This helps restore the serotonin and dopamine stores in your brain.

SleepEnsure you get enough sleep and have a good sleep routine. Sleep deprivation can worsen the symptoms of depression.

Professional guidanceConsider seeking professional help, especially if you notice that your depressive symptoms persist. Therapy can help process emotions and improve your mental health.

Nutrition and supplements: Foods containing tryptophan and tyrosine can help replenish serotonin and dopamine stores.
