Can isotretinoin (Roaccutane) be taken with MDMA?
There are no known direct interactions between isotretinoin (Roaccutane) and MDMA or other psychedelic drugs. Nevertheless, it is advised against combining isotretinoin (Roaccutane) with MDMA. The potential side effects of isotretinoin can be exacerbated by combining it with MDMA. If individuals using isotretinoin experience no side effects or elevated liver values whatsoever, the combination with MDMA would theoretically not be dangerous. Therefore, as a precaution, it is better not to combine MDMA and isotretinoin and to complete the isotretinoin course first. This prevents potential liver damage and allows you to enter any potential MDMA therapy session with less uncertainty.
