Triptherapie organizes small-scale group ceremonies and intensive multi-day retreats where legal psychedelic substances are used to promote personal development and healing. All group activities usually take place in the atmospheric Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam (South Holland) and are all-inclusive: Guidance by experienced tripsitters/therapists, use of psychedelics, personal preparation, healthy meals, and overnight accommodation are included in the price. To participate, one must always first online intake to be completed so that Triptherapie can conduct a medical and psychological screening and assess whether participation is safe. Below is an overview by type of ceremony or retreat, with key details: duration, resources used, program, location, costs, and requirements.
Duration: Approximately 2 days (Two-day retreat with one overnight stay). The actual psilocybin ceremony takes place on Day 1 (afternoon/evening). Participants typically stay overnight at the location afterwards, followed by a joint integration morning on Day 2 to share experiences.
Psychedelic substance: Psilocybin in the form of magical . (Magic mushrooms are not officially legal in the Netherlands; therefore, legal truffle varieties are used – a truffle ceremony is substantively the same as a “magic mushroom” or “psilocybin ceremony”.)
Program and guidance: The truffle ceremony is a small group session with a maximum of ~6 participants. On site, one or more professional tripsitters/therapists present for guidance. In advance, each participant receives personalized preparation advice based on their intake and the theme of the ceremony. A few days before the start, for example, they receive recommendations regarding diet and supplements, mental preparatory exercises, and viewing or reading tips that align with the chosen theme. On the day of the ceremony, it usually begins with introductions and sharing intentions within the group, creating a safe atmosphere and a shared focus. Afterwards, the psilocybin ceremony themselves in a specially furnished room (with mattresses, art, and music) under the supervision of the supervisors. If desired, additional ingredients be added to the trip: for example, Triptherapie offers the option to choose at the last minute psiloflora (truffle + passionflower) as an extra element, provided there are no medical objections. This addition can somewhat prolong and deepen the experience (see also Psiloflora ceremony below). During the session, the atmosphere is serene; carefully curated music is used to accompany the inner journey. Participants can always receive help or speak with a guide if needed, or withdraw to a quiet corner if they feel the need. After the peak of the trip, one gradually returns to normal consciousness, and there is space for quiet reflection. In the evening, there is a light meal; afterwards, participants rest and stay overnight on location. The following morning (day 2), the group comes together again for a integration round (sharing circle), in which everyone can share experiences and the facilitators provide tools to take the insights into daily life.
Location: The Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam (near Rotterdam/The Hague). This private loft is specifically designed for comfort and a stimulating, safe environment for trips (with mood lighting, art objects, and mattresses). The location is easily accessible by car and public transport, and there is free parking. Overnight stay at the location is included and is encouraged by Triptherapie so that participants do not have to travel home immediately after the ceremony.
Costs: €650 per person (all-inclusive price for the complete 2-day program). Included are the extensive intake & screening, personal preparation advice, the truffle trip (truffles included in the price), professional guidance throughout the entire session, use of the venue and facilities, healthy meals/snacks and drinks, one overnight stay on-site, and follow-up support with integration.
Preparation and requirements: Participation requires filling out an intake form beforehand, during which medical and psychological background is inquired about. Reservations can only be made after approval of the intake. Before the ceremony, participants receive a tailor-made preparation instructions (dietary and supplement advice, mental preparation) to bring both body and mind into optimal condition for the trip. The use of psychedelics always takes place under strict professional guidance and in small groups to ensure safety; Triptherapie maintains a maximum of 5 to 6 participants per group and ensures sufficient qualified facilitators so that everyone receives personal attention. During the session, the psilocybin dose is carefully tailored to each individual. People with certain medical conditions or those taking medications that constitute a contraindication (e.g., antidepressants, antipsychotics, cardiovascular disease, etc.) cannot participate for their own safety – this is assessed during the intake. After the ceremony, participants receive aftercareAn integration session is built in (the following morning), and if desired, Triptherapie offers individual integration conversations or contact via email/telephone later on to support the processing. Additionally, participants can exchange experiences via the Triptherapie forum (Tripforum) or consult the community for extra support.
Duration: 2-day trip ceremony (part of the regular truffle ceremonies with overnight stay). A psiloflora ceremony in itself is not a separate retreat type with its own dates, but a variant which can be chosen within a truffle ceremony. The setup in terms of time and program is the same as a normal truffle ceremony (Day 1 trip + overnight stay + Day 2 integration).
Psychedelic substances: Psiloflora is a combination of psilocybin-containing truffles of passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) as a mild MAO inhibitor. Psilocybin causes the usual psychedelic effects (deep expansion of consciousness, visions, emotional breakthroughs), while the passionflower these effects strengthens and extends. Moreover, passionflower introduces a calming, anxiety-reducing component; users often experience the psiloflora trip as more “"dreamy"” and “spiritual in nature” compared to a regular truffle trip.
Program and experience: The ceremony itself proceeds in content almost the same as a standard truffle ceremony (in a small group, with guidance, music, etc.), but participants who opt for psiloflora usually receive a slightly higher dose truffles in combination with the passionflower tea, which can make the trip more intense and longer lasting. Customers who choose a psiloflora option often do so with the intention of a more mystical or spiritual experience to get. Triptherapie responds to this by giving the preparation for these participants an extra spiritual character – for example, targeted meditation exercises or pre-trip ritual aspects. During the psiloflora trip itself, participants regularly report deeper visions and a stronger sense of connection with the “greater whole”, compared to a normal truffle ceremony. The presence of the passion flower (a plant considered sacred in various traditions) can also symbolically contribute to the layering of the experience. The session is otherwise guided in the same way by the tripsitters/therapists. The following day there is joint integration, just like with the regular ceremony.
Location: Takes place in the Loft in Schiedam, as part of the regular group ceremony. Therefore, all facilities and the setting are the same.
Costs: No extra charge In addition to the standard truffle ceremony (€650 all-in) – the choice of psiloflora is an option within that ceremony. (You must indicate this in advance or during the intake, so that the facilitator can prepare the necessary ingredients.)
Preparation and requirements: Because psiloflora a heavier trip gives, Triptherapie recommends this option Only for participants with previous psychedelic experience. Moreover, in addition to the normal contraindications for psilocybin, extra conditions apply: certain medications (especially antidepressants such as SSRIs, MAO inhibitors, etc.) or health problems that may be risky in combination with an MAO inhibitor exclude participation. Therefore, it is explicitly checked during the intake whether someone is suitable for psiloflora. Passionflower is a mild MAO inhibitor, so a strict ayahuasca diet is usually not necessary; however, Triptherapie advises having a low-tyramine diet to follow, for extra reassurance. This means, for example, being careful with aged cheeses, alcohol, fermented products, and cured meats around the session. The facilitators will provide instructions regarding this if applicable. Furthermore, psiloflora participants receive the same preparation advice as truffle ceremony participants (such as a light meal beforehand, avoiding certain supplements like 5-HTP, etc.). Aftercare and integration proceed in the same way as those of the standard ceremony.
Duration: Also part of the 2-day trip Truffle ceremonies (with overnight stay). A psilohuasca ceremony is not a separate event, but an option within a truffle ceremony where a stronger MAO inhibitor is added. The schedule (Day 1 trip, Day 2 integration) conforms to the regular program.
Psychedelic substances: Psilohuasca is the combination of psilocybin truffles with the Banisteriopsis Caapi-vine (known from ayahuasca) as an MAO inhibitor. The psilocybin brings about the psychedelic effects, while the added Caapi-vine the trip strengthens, deepens and extends (by inhibiting MAO enzymes that normally break down psilocin). Caapi contains harmala alkaloids that have a more potent MAO-inhibiting effect than passionflower. As a result, a psilohuasca trip resembles a traditional ayahuasca experience more closely in terms of duration and depth, including possible physical effects such as nausea.
Program and experience: The setup is similar to the truffle ceremony, but participants who psilohuasca elect, usually get a higher dose psilocybin plus the prepared Caapi drink. This often results in a extra intense and visionary experience. Many participants who choose this are consciously looking for a deeper spiritual or mystical journey Similar to a real ayahuasca ceremony, Triptherapie supports this by adapting the preparations here as well (e.g., encouraging ceremonial ritual, meditation, diet) for an optimal mindset. Strong visuals and emotional releases may occur during the psilohuasca trip; the facilitators are trained to manage this effectively. Physical detoxification (such as vomiting) occurs less frequently compared to ayahuasca, but mild nausea or discomfort is possible – this is considered part of the process. Afterwards, there is another integration meeting the following day to discuss the often very meaningful experiences.
Location: Loft Schiedam, within the normal group session (same setting). Due to the potentially heavier physical component, there is an extra focus on comfort during psilohuasca sessions: for example, buckets/bags are available in case someone needs to vomit, and rest areas where one can withdraw for a moment.
Costs: No extra costs in addition to the regular ceremony (€650 pp), provided you indicate in advance that you wish to pursue this option. Triptherapie can then provide the Caapi-mao inhibitor and give instructions.
Preparation and requirements: Strict screening applies. All contraindications of psilocybin apply, plus the additional contraindications of a potent MAO inhibitor. A special diet is necessary beforehand., because Caapi combined with tyramine-rich foods can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure. Participants are therefore given a list of foods and medications well in advance that they must avoid for several days before and after the ceremony (including aged cheese, red meat, alcohol, certain antidepressants, decongestants, etc.). In practice, Triptherapie follows a diet similar to the classic ayahuasca diet to rule out any risk. This requires discipline from the participant during the preparation week. Also, the preference for psilohuasca must be communicated well in advance of the ceremony (at intake or booking), so that the organization the right ingredients and advice can prepare. Furthermore, it is strongly recommended that someone already has experience with regular truffle trips before doing psilohuasca, due to the intensity. The integration guidance after the session is identical to that of the other ceremonies, although specific attention is paid to interpreting any spiritual visions and coping with the intensity of the experience in the days that followed.
Duration: 3 days (three days retreat with 2 nights). This is an extensive retreat program that Triptherapie has been offering as a new service since 2025, alongside the shorter ceremonies. Days 1 and 2 typically take place consecutively within a single weekend, with an additional return day (Day 3) shortly thereafter for live integration. In some cases, all three days are scheduled consecutively. In total, the retreat therefore comprises three separate days (two of which are consecutive with overnight stays).
Psychedelic substance: Psilocybin (truffles), central to a guided truffle ceremony on day 2. MAO inhibitors (psiloflora/psilohuasca) may also be used here as an addition, but the core is an intense truffle trip. Additionally, no extra psychedelics are administered during the three days, except possibly a low dose on the integration day (psycholytic, to support reflection) – the latter only if the situation calls for it. However, Day 3 is often conducted fasting or with at most a microdose, in order to integrate optimally.
Program and guidance: The 3-day retreat is a therapeutic deepening program in a group setting (max. 6 participants) with two permanent therapists continuously present. The goal is not only to have the psychedelic experience, but also to prepare for it in depth and integrate it into daily life. Day 1 is characterized by setting intentions and body-oriented preparations. The group meets to get acquainted and formulate personal goals. Subsequently, various activities are undertaken to get body and mind in the right mode: think of yoga, breathwork (breathing exercises), meditation, mindful movement and creative exercises. Therapeutic methods are also used, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Voice Dialogue or other interventions to gain prior insight into personal themes taking into the trip the following day. Day 2 is the day of the psilocybin ceremony themselves. This takes place similarly to a regular truffle ceremony, but thanks to the intensive preparation day, the group is often closer and the participants are clear about what they want to explore. The two therapists (counselors) They steer the ceremony in the right direction, providing individual therapeutic support during the trip as needed (for example, gently coaching someone through a difficult emotional moment, applying additional breathing techniques, etc.). Because two professionals are present, the work can be much more personal, and there is room to combine different approaches – for example, one therapist focusing more on emotions and one on bodywork. The trip day itself proceeds safely and in a structured manner with music, quiet moments, and the optional addition of psiloflora if agreed upon in advance. Following the ceremony, there is another communal dinner, and the initial processing begins (usually a short sharing round that evening). Day 3 (The integration day) often takes place one to a few days after the ceremony – in the case of a consecutive three days, it is the very next day. On this day, the participants arrive back together with the therapists for intensive integration sessions. This includes both group discussions (everyone shares what the experience meant, what insights were gained) and complementary forms of therapy to anchor these insights. For example, Triptherapie employs IFS to further explore certain “parts” of a person’s psyche discovered during the trip, or TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) to physically release stored tension. Creative methods (drawing, journaling) are also sometimes used, as well as breathing or mindfulness exercises to mentally and physically process the lessons learned. The idea is that through this integration component, participants not only have had a special experience, but also can sustainably translate into positive change in their lives. The retreats have been kept small-scale to a trusted, safe group dynamics to preserve an area in which everyone can go deep. By way of illustration: the guidance during the retreat in 2025 was provided by a therapist Ronald (psychosocial therapist, specialized in trauma, IFS, among others) and Reineke (psychologist & psychedelic therapist with experience in bodywork and EMDR) – a duo that complements each other and continuously guides the group.
Location: The Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam is the primary location for these retreats, with facilities for a multi-day stay (sleeping quarters, shower, kitchen). Typically, days 1 and 2 take place here, including overnight stays. For day 3 (integration), the group reconvenes at the Loft, or sometimes at an alternative location in consultation, but in principle Schiedam. The Loft offers the privacy and tranquility needed for both the ceremonies and the accompanying therapeutic workshops.
Costs: €1,150 per person (all-inclusive for the entire 3-day program). Included are: two nights' accommodation, all meals and snacks during the retreat, the commitment of two professional therapists throughout all days, all materials for the workshops/exercises, the psilocybin truffles (and any additions such as passionflower/Caapi) for the ceremony, the venue rental, and extensive pre- and post-care. This higher rate reflects the intensity and extra personal guidance compared to the standard 2-day ceremony. (For comparison: a regular ceremony is 650 euros, so the three-day retreat includes significantly more in the price.)
Preparation and requirements: Those interested in the 3-day retreat go through the same process. intake process as with the other ceremonies, for screening for contraindications. Due to the profound nature, it is especially important that participants are mentally stable enough and willing to open themselves up to intensive group therapy. In the run-up to the retreat, participants receive personal preparatory assignments (similar to the truffle ceremony: diet, intention formulation, etc.), but often somewhat more extensive. For instance, you may be asked to complete a specific questionnaire in advance or keep a diary to map out patterns. Physically, it is advised to start the program well-rested and sober (no alcohol/drugs in the week prior, healthy lifestyle). During the retreat itself, participation in all components is mandatory to get the most out of the program. Confidentiality and a respectful attitude within the group are requirements (participants are asked to respect a confidentiality agreement regarding the personal stories of fellow group members). After the three-day retreat, there are usually one or more follow-up conversations Scheduled (by phone/online) with the therapists to support further integration – this is included in the price. Triptherapie also stays in touch via email to inquire about long-term progress. This ensures that the insights gained are actually embedded in daily life. In short, this retreat requires a greater time investment and dedication, but offers participants a very complete program of preparation, psychedelic experience and integration in a therapeutically guided setting.
