Although if you have tendonitis or tendon injury due to tendon strain, it is best to rest a lot, there are a number of natural products that can promote recovery.

These plants and herbs can be eaten to promote recovery:

  • Ananas comosus - Pineapple
  • Bambousa arundinacae - Bamboo
  • Boswellia serrata - Indian frankincense
  • Curcuma Xanthorrhiza - Javanese turmeric root
  • Equisetum arvense - Horsetail
  • Filipendula ulmaria - meadowsweet
  • Harpagophytum procumbens - Devil's claw
  • Juniperus communis - Juniper
  • Morinda citrifolia - Noni or Indian mulberry
  • Ribes nigrem (leaf) - Blackcurrant (leaf)
  • Salix alba - White willow (bark)

 

For external use to relieve symptoms, the following natural remedies can be used:

  • Arnica Montona - Fallow herb
  • Betula lenta (essential oil) - Sugar birch
  • Capsicum annuum - Cayenne pepper, chilli or paprika
  • Eucalyptus citriododra (Essential oil) - Lemon eucalyptus
  • Gaultheria procumbens (essential oil) - Mountain tea
  • Helichrysum italicum (essential oil) - Curry plant
  • Juniperus communis (essential oil) - Juniperus
  • Mentha X piperita (essential oil) - Peppermint
  • Rosmarinus officinales (essential oil) - Rosemary
  • Salix salba - White willow (bark)
  • Symphytium offcinale - Common comfrey
  • Thymus vulgaris (essential oil) - Common thyme

From personal experience, I can tell you that a smear of cayenne pepper (powder) with finely chopped rosemary and coin dissolved in coconut oil does provide relief after all. An inflamed tendon (Tendinitis) is otherwise really so irritating with that radiating pain.

Today then some pineapple, bamboo shoots and blackcurrants food. I also juniper berries in the cupboard that seem to work well and I also have a supplement with Boswellia stand.Dinner tonight I can prepare with extra turmeric (turmeric) to see if that offers anything extra.

Other than resting and the above, there is really little else you can do about it. Hope for a speedy recovery 🙂
