For many German guests, the idea of a guided truffle ceremony in the Netherlands is appealing — legal, professionally guided and taking place in a safe environment. However, an in-depth psychedelic session is not a time when one wants to be struggling with language barriers. That is precisely why Triptherapie offers via triptherapie.de three experienced, German-speaking guides: Gijs, Ronald and Reineke. In this article, we’ll introduce you to all three and explain why choosing the right companion is so important.

Why have a German-speaking guide at all?

During a psychedelic session, intense emotional processes may occur. At such moments, every word counts — nuances, subtleties and a genuine sense of understanding are often easier to express in one’s mother tongue than in English or even Dutch. A facilitator who speaks German can:

  • gain a clearer understanding of you during the preparation and intake process
  • to provide calm and clear support in German during difficult moments in the session
  • to conduct the integration interview afterwards without any loss of meaning in translation

This makes the whole process more personal and more secure.

An overview of the three German-speaking guides

Gijs — Den Bosch region

Gijs has around 20 to 30 years’ experience in mainstream outpatient mental health care (GGZ). Among other things, he has:

  • worked as a practitioner in crisis intervention and psychotherapy
  • Taught and provided supervision on the MGZ-GGZ degree programme at HAN (Arnhem Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences)
  • She has continued to develop her professional skills in mindfulness, talk therapy, neurofeedback, meditation, compassion training and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
  • her own practice focusing on spiritual development

A particular advantage: You can use his practice premises in the Den Bosch area at no extra cost and stay there overnight as well — which is handy if you don’t want to organise your own accommodation.

Ronald — Eindhoven region

Ronald is a psychosocial therapist with a wide range of techniques at their disposal:

  • Jungian-philosophical therapist
  • Psychodrama Therapist
  • Master Voice Dialogue
  • Transformational Psychology
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Mindfulness and Compassion Trainer

The Ronald approach is particularly suitable for clients who wish to explore their inner aspects, roles and self-images in greater depth.

Please note: For a Ronald session, you’ll need to organise your own accommodation (e.g. Airbnb or a hotel) in the Eindhoven area.

Reineke — Rotterdam/The Hague region

Reineke

Reineke is a psychologist and combines conventional and alternative treatment methods. Her repertoire includes:

  • Talk therapy
  • Yoga
  • Breathing exercises
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing — a recognised method for trauma treatment)

This combination makes it particularly suitable for guests who, in addition to the psychedelic experience itself, are looking for body-oriented and trauma-sensitive support.

Please note: With Reineke, too, you’ll need to organise your own accommodation near Rotterdam or The Hague — for example, a quiet holiday home in Noordwijk that’s well suited to a session lasting several hours.
