What is MS or multiple sclerosis?

MS is an autoimmune disorder in which the nerve cells (myelin) of the brain and spinal cord are broken down by macrophages. The result of this is that communication from the brain to other areas becomes more difficult. Controlling muscles therefore also becomes harder. There is still a great deal of uncertainty surrounding MS. For example, we do not yet know the precise cause. On the Triptherapie forum, we keep track of what can help in the treatment of MS.
