Generalized anxiety disorder and psychedelics
While conventional mental health care focuses on cognitive therapy in combination with SSRIs for generalized anxiety disorder, we use psychedelics to treat depression and anxiety. With generalized anxiety disorder, it is difficult to find a clear cause and, consequently, a hard-to-find solution. In some cases, psychedelics such as psilocybin can provide insights from the subconscious and offer relief after the psychedelic session.
Extra caution
In the presence of anxiety symptoms, we need to proceed somewhat more cautiously. The first psychedelic session is then often dosed slightly lower than in the absence of anxiety symptoms. A possible second session can serve as a session with a higher dosage.
Medication use
Psychedelic sessions are not compatible with medications such as SSRIs, MAOIs, TCAs, and other psychoactive drugs. If you are taking this medication and still wish to have a psychedelic session, always consult the doctor who prescribes the medication about whether and how you can taper off.
Make use of the intake so that we can advise you on what type of session would suit you.
