Psiloflora
Psiloflora is still relatively unknown, but that is expected to change in 2020. Ayahuasca and now psilohuasca are gaining increasing popularity. Ayahuasca is a trendy psychedelic that has been heavily featured in the news. Ayahuasca is illegal in the Netherlands, which is why many providers have switched to psilohuasca.

Psilohuasca
Psilohuasca contains strong MAO inhibitors, just like ayahuasca. In both Psilohuasca and ayahuasca, the strong MAOi banisteriopis caapi used. The MAO inhibitors in banisteriopis caapi prevent the breakdown of DMT, psilocybin, dopamine, adrenaline, tyramine, and several psychedelic and also harmful monoamines. With ayahuasca, an MAO inhibitor is necessary in any case, otherwise the psychedelic active ingredient DMT will not work. With Psilohuasca, psilocybin-containing mushrooms or truffles are used, and strong MAO inhibitors are not necessary, because psilocybin works orally even without MAO inhibitors. If you do add MAO inhibitors, such as the banisteriopis caapi then you will need less of the psilocybin-containing truffles, and other psychedelic compounds will also survive the stomach better and reach the brain.
Banisteriopis caapi
The Banisteriopis caapi is a potent MAO inhibitor that also inhibits tyramine breakdown, for example. Tyramine can become dangerous if the concentration becomes too high. Elevated tyramine can be prevented by following a diet.

As can be read via the link above, there are quite a few catches to using psychedelics in combination with strong MAO inhibitors (or medications). When using magic mushrooms and truffles, MAO inhibitors are not necessary at all in themselves. Increasing the dose is safer than adding MAO inhibitors.
Passionflower as an MAO inhibitor
The passionflower is a mild MAO inhibitor and will enhance magic mushrooms or truffles and prolong the trip without creating many additional risks. The combination of psilocybin and the passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is also known as psiloflora and, in our view, is the perfect combination: avoiding the extra risks of a strong MAO inhibitor while enjoying the benefits of a mild one.
The Passiflora trip
The advantage of using passionflower is that, in the first instance, less magic mushrooms or truffles are needed to reach the same trip level. Compared to other commonly used MAO inhibitors, passionflower has a much milder effect, resulting in lower risks (but do take safety guidelines seriously). The benefits provided by passionflower are:
Beyond its enhancing effect on a psychedelic trip, Passiflora incarnata is sometimes used without psychedelics for ADHD, nervousness, nervous heart conditions, Parkinson's disease, seizures, muscle cramps, hysteria, hypertension, PMS, epilepsy, skin conditions, hemorrhoids, burns, asthma, whooping cough, bronchitis, infections, and as a painkiller for many ailments. It is also used for problems associated with menopause. Furthermore, it is used as a means to reduce the consequences of alcoholism, to facilitate quitting drinking, and is also applied in the treatment of delirium tremens.
