Am I allowed to keep my girlfriend present during the truffle ceremony without her participating in the ceremony?
During group sessions, only those participating in the ceremony may be present, including the trip facilitator(s). This is because the therapeutic effects of psilocybin are most effective when attention is not excessively distracted by external factors such as additional people.
For individual truffle ceremonies, it is of course permitted to allow an extra person during your own ceremony. A maximum of 2 people would also be possible. However, I must reiterate that external distraction caused by extra people detracts from the effect of the truffle trip. Therefore, consider whether the feeling of "safety" from having a familiar person nearby outweighs the decrease in effectiveness. On the other hand, not feeling safe during a truffle ceremony detracts even more from the effectiveness. So, choose wisely.

Okay. I would like her to be there during the beginning and the end. That way, she can leave in between. That would give me extra peace of mind. Besides, my girlfriend would also appreciate seeing that I am in good hands.

That is perfectly fine. If these are the best conditions for you, then I will go along with it. The more comfortable you feel, the better the result.

At open truffle ceremonies When attending with other strangers, you may not bring someone who is not participating. These open ceremonies are designed to create a safe, intimate, and therapeutic setting. The presence of someone who is not actively participating, but is physically present, can influence the atmosphere and the experience of both you and other participants. Even though her intention may be supportive, her matter-of-fact presence can be distracting or evoke a sense of being "watched" in you or others.
At psychedelic private sessions The situation is different: if you choose an individual session or a private session for two, you may always have a confidant present. Your friend may be present for support. However, always ensure that a confidant cannot become a disruptive factor and that they can also keep quiet during the introspective phase of your session.

Last Monday, I once again guided a trip where the partner was passively present. This fostered more trust, which benefits the trip. Naturally, the person undergoing the trip is free to choose whether or not someone may be present. The middle part of the truffle ceremony is intended for turning inward, and the attendee must respect this.
