According to various studies, psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy—with 3 psilocybin sessions and therapeutic support before and after the sessions—can result in a 70% chance that a client no longer falls under the classification of depression. Furthermore, it is not very clear what the success rate is after just one session. We do know, however, that a dosage of 25mg psilocybin resulted in a 12% improvement in mood on the MADRS test.

In practice, we see that the progress of people with depression is related to the dosage. psilocybin (25mg or more is better), the preparation, lifestyle changes, and how the session itself unfolds have a major influence. We estimate that 1 in 2 people with depression feel so much better after just one session that they might no longer fall under the category of depressed. Again, this depends entirely on the dosage and various other circumstances.

More research is needed to put an exact number on it.
