When filling out the Triptherapie intake, I am asked for details such as my meditation and conditions. I would prefer not to share this and just have the psychedelic session. Is this possible?
I understand that you would prefer not to share all personal details, such as medication and medical conditions. However, for guided psychedelic sessions, it is almost always necessary to discuss this information in advance.
The reason for this is safety. Psychedelic substances can affect various systems in the body, such as the serotonin system, the nervous system, and blood pressure. Some medications, such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants, or benzodiazepines, can alter the effects of psychedelics or, in some cases, increase risks. Certain physical or psychological conditions can also determine whether a session is advisable and which form of guidance is most suitable.
If completing the intake is primarily a matter of privacy, there are in practice two ways to handle this so that a session remains possible.
The first option is to partially anonymize your data. For example, during the intake and reservation process, you can shorten your surname to just the first letter. This way, your data is less directly traceable to you as a person. Additionally, you can request that we delete all data from our systems a few weeks after your session, so that no information is retained afterwards.
The second option is a medical statement from your general practitioner or psychiatrist. Such a statement confirms that the doctor in question has assessed your situation and that there are no medical objections to participating in a psychedelic session. In that case, the medical screening can be conducted by your doctor instead of us doing it through our intake.
In this way, security remains guaranteed, while you can still take into account your wish for more privacy.
