Is a session with MDMA safe with Candesartan?
MDMA in combination with Candesartan is not recommended. This is because MDMA can cause an increased heart rate and high blood pressure during use. Since Candesartan is a blood pressure-lowering medication, the combination of these two substances can lead to unpredictable effects on blood pressure and heart function. After MDMA use, blood pressure may be on the low side. This can also pose a problem in combination with the blood pressure-lowering effects of Candesartan, such as fainting and, in extreme cases, organ damage.
Furthermore, heart complaints and blood pressure problems, apart from medication use, are a contraindication for the use of MDMA. The combination of these physical complaints and the necessity of using Candesartan would therefore mean that you are better off not using MDMA.
