[Solved] Psychedelic retreat

Triptherapie offers open group retreats with psychedelics, including truffle ceremonies, psiloflora ceremonies, and MDMA group sessions. These retreats last two days, including an overnight stay, allowing participants to rest after the session and integrate together the following day. The rates are all-inclusive: the intake interview, personal preparation tips, the guided ceremony itself, aftercare (integration), and food, drinks, and accommodation are included in the price. All group sessions take place in the Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam (South Holland), a tastefully furnished space near Rotterdam and The Hague, and are accompanied by experienced tripsitters/therapists to guarantee a safe setting.

Truffle ceremony (magic truffles)

A truffle ceremony at Triptherapie is a group trip with magic truffles (psilocybin) under professional guidance. A maximum of 6 participants can join, so that the group remains small and personal. During the ceremony, there is always at least one tripsitter/therapist per those participants present (Truffle ceremony | Group ceremony with max. 6 participants) – usually, there are two facilitators in a full group – to provide good support to everyone. The session starts with a quiet getting acquainted and setting intentions. Often a certain theme connected to the ceremony; in the week leading up to it, for example, participants receive suitable video and reading tips around that theme for inspiration. This creates a shared focus, but everyone is free to give it their own interpretation.

During the truffle trip The emphasis itself lies on inner experience. Truffles (psilocybin) are known for their visual and spiritual effects and can evoke deeply insightful, sometimes confronting experiences – which can also contribute to breaking depressive patterns. The setting is safe and pleasant: the Psychedelic Loft is atmospherically decorated with art and patterns to enrich the experience. Participants can embark on the journey together, but also individual space take place when necessary; for example, there are separate cabins or cozy spots where someone can retreat for a moment during the trip. The guides provide music, peace, and support, and are ready if someone wants to talk or needs help.

After the intensive journey, health is ensured food and drink to regain grounding. The group stays together at the location overnight – the overnight stay is included as standard (but not mandatory; one can also go home if desired). The following morning there is breakfast and time to discuss experiences with the other participants, which promotes integration. Furthermore, Triptherapie offers an individual integration interview in the days following the ceremony, to truly integrate the insights into daily life.

The location is always the Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam. The costs amounts €550 per person, including all guidance, preparation, and aftercare. Psiloflora ceremony (truffles + passion flower)

A psiloflora ceremony is in fact an extended variant of the truffle ceremony, in which, in addition to the truffles, also passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) is used. Passionflower acts as a mild MAO inhibitor and is administered in tea form together with the truffles (Psiloflora ceremony). Due to this combination – comparable to so-called psilohuasca – becomes the psilocybin experience strengthened and extended, often with a more spiritual and visionary depth. Customers who use psiloflora regularly report more intense mystical experiences compared to a regular truffle trip. This is partly because higher doses of psychedelics are sometimes used with psiloflora, and partly due to the addition of the MAO inhibitor (passionflower), which deepens the trip. In some spiritual traditions, passionflower is even considered sacred, which contributes to the ceremonial atmosphere.

Within every group ceremony at Triptherapie is freely selectable whether you want to use psiloflora or not. Since 2023, this applies every truffle ceremony can also be a psiloflora ceremony, and vice versa – the choice lies with the participant. Specifically, this means that during the session, the truffle tea and passionflower tea apart are served; everyone can decide for themselves whether or not to add passionflower to their dose. Those who do not take passionflower experience a normal truffle ceremony, while those who do the MAOi addition takes, undergoes a psiloflora experience. The guidance and setting are further the same as with the regular truffle ceremony, including preparation advice, the theme, the music, and the option of an overnight stay and integration conversation afterwards.

Important: Due to the MAO-inhibiting effect of passionflower, extra precautions apply. Participants who wish to do psiloflora must a low-tyramine diet a week in advance follow. This diet prevents certain foods (such as aged cheese, alcohol, ferments) from causing unwanted side effects in combination with the MAO inhibitor. In addition, there are extra contraindications for psiloflora: use of antidepressants Combination with substances such as SSRIs or SNRIs is an absolute objection, as are certain medical conditions, because the combination with an MAO inhibitor can be dangerous. Triptherapie will check via the intake form whether psiloflora is safe for the participant and will only allow it when it can be done responsibly.

Dates & price: Psiloflora sessions are not planned separately; they are part of the open truffle ceremonies. So you can join on the same dates as the truffle ceremonies (March 29, 18 April, May 25 and June 14, 2025 etc.) and choose the psiloflora option on the spot. The costs The fees for a psiloflora ceremony are the same as for the truffle ceremony (€550, all-in). Here too, a pre-intake is mandatory for screening.

MDMA group session (MDMA therapy session)

The MDMA group sessions Triptherapie are two-day retreats in which a small group, under guidance, has a therapeutic session with MDMA (or a legal MDMA variant) experiences. There are a maximum of 5 participants accompanied per group, so that everyone receives sufficient attention. Moreover, every MDMA ceremony is guided by two experienced therapists  – this to both during the conversation phase as during the trip phase to provide optimal support.

Course: An MDMA ceremony has a slightly different structure than truffle/mushroom sessions. While truffle retreats are primarily inwardly focused, there is more room for MDMA. connection and conversation. The day begins with a group discussion of approximately 1 to 2 hours, in which participants can share something about themselves, their intentions sharing and building trust within the group (MDMA ceremony). Afterwards, all participants take the MDMA dose (Triptherapie uses a MDMA analogue, a legal variant with similar effects). The MDMA starts to take effect approximately 45 minutes after ingestion; from that moment on, the supervisors switch to a quiet setting . Participants receive earplugs or a blindfold if desired, and a special selection is made music turned to make them turn inwards. These introspective phase lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours, during which everyone is primarily withdrawn and the music guides them through memories, emotions, and insights. The experience under MDMA is generally very warm and emotional: feelings of love, connection and euphoria come up, which makes it easier to talk about difficult topics or trauma without fear. The music plays an important role in this by managing moods and providing a sense of safety. After this deep phase, the group returns to interaction: participants can share their experiences, hold each other, or talk about what they have experienced, under the guidance of the therapists. This debriefing promotes processing and mutual bonding.

As with the other retreats, there is a strong focus on preparation and aftercare. In advance, each participant fills out an extensive intake screening takes place in and because MDMA is not suitable for everyone (certain medical conditions or medication use can contraindication forms). Based on the intake, Triptherapie also provides personal advice in preparation (e.g. supplements, nutrition, mindset), so that you enter the session in optimal mental and physical condition. After the ceremony, the overnight stay included on location, so you don't have to go home immediately in the aftermath of the MDMA experience. The next day there is a joint integration moment in which the group can debrief under guidance and further anchor the insights. Participants are also often offered tips or a follow-up conversation to support long-term integration.

Dates & price: MDMA group retreats are scheduled regularly. In the coming months, there are sessions on March 8, 2025 (this date is now fully booked), April 19, 2025, May 9, 2025 and June 28, 2025. These also take place in Schiedam (Psychedelic Loft). The price for participation is €650 per person. This amount is, just like with the truffle ceremonies, all-inclusive: it covers the intake + personal preparation coach, the entire session with MDMA therapy, the stay/overnight accommodation with meals, and an integration session afterwards. Reservations are made via the website; a deposit is usually required upon registration to secure the spot, with the remaining balance to be paid in the week of the session. Naturally, participation is only confirmed after approval by the intake (safety first).
