When can I eat after microdosing?
For microdosing:
It is recommended not to eat any food for at least 4 hours before microdosing. This is because the digestion of food requires energy and blood flow to the digestive organs, which can affect the effects of the microdose. It is also possible that eating just before microdosing may cause nausea or vomiting.
After microdosing:
You can eat normally again half an hour after microdosing, but always listen to your body and eat when you are hungry. Most people prefer to eat some fruit or yogurt after the microdose. In theory, the acidic content can convert some residual psilocybin into psilocin, which can then still be absorbed.

When microdosing, it doesn't matter a huge amount when you eat. What can work particularly well is to eat something slightly acidic after consuming a microdose of truffles, such as some citrus fruit or a pickle. This added acid can ensure that any psilocybin remaining in the mouth is absorbed more quickly and becomes active through conversion into psilocin.
Psilocybin is converted into psilocin in the body., and this conversion occurs faster in an acidic environment. By eating something slightly acidic after your microdose — preferably something that makes your mouth more acidic, such as lemon or a slice of pickle — some of the psilocybin still present in saliva or the oral mucosa can be converted more quickly and effectively. This can increase local bioavailability, resulting in slightly faster and potentially better absorption.
Although the effect is subtle (microdosing is, after all, about barely noticeable effects), these types of biohacks are valuable for those who want to get the most out of their microdosing regimen — especially if you have variable sensitivity or are experimenting with lower dosages.
I just eat the truffles with dark chocolate first thing in the morning, and that just works well for me.
