On 24 April 2024, I went on a psilocybin trip with Ronald as my guide. I deliberately chose a man who is older than me, and I have never regretted my choice. Ronald accompanied me in a very sensitive, matter-of-fact, reserved yet, at the crucial moment, very alert manner. We rented a holiday flat and Ronald came to stay there. That was a wonderful decision and it helped me enormously with my trust issues and fears. The trip was very intense at the start and almost unbearable. Without Ronald on one side and my husband on the other, I probably wouldn’t have managed to get through that part of the journey and accept the images and strong emotions that were flooding over me. But then, as time went on, the journey changed; the images and feelings became more positive, and I was able to gain an incredible amount of insight from it and undergo a sort of inner therapy in the process. Never before have I been able to perceive, accept and work with my body, my feelings and my thoughts so clearly. This effect is still lingering. I’m certain that, on the one hand, this was only possible thanks to the excellent guidance I received; on the other hand, I was glad that I’d prepared myself well and got into the right frame of mind in the weeks leading up to it, and the follow-up work is also a key factor. A few months ago, I would never have thought I’d dare to do something like this, especially with someone who was essentially a stranger to me. But Ronald was a truly experienced, calm and empathetic guide. My husband told me later that, after four hours, Ronald thought my journey was over and was actually about to leave, but then he realised that I was beginning to continue my inner work, so he sat beside me for another full hour, just in case I needed him. Ronald prepared me wonderfully for the experience, and the debriefings afterwards were also very pleasant. I’m very grateful that I learnt about psilocybin, then found Triptherapie in the Netherlands, and chose Ronald. He is very friendly, knows a great deal, yet doesn’t push himself into the limelight. I felt very safe with him. I can’t recommend it highly enough to everyone!
