To the perception of the ingestor, the effects of LSD closely resemble the effects of other psychedelics such as magic mushrooms, DMT, ayahuasca, etc. The mind-altering effects are largely attributable to the stimulation of the 5HT2a receptors in the brain (frontal lobe), which are in fact stimulated by all psychedelics.

To better understand the effects of LSD, you can this
LSD can bind to 5HT2a receptors much better than all other known psychedelics. It seems as if LSD sticks and screws onto the receptor, which is why an LSD trip often lasts a very long time. An LSD trip can last between 8 and 24 hours, whereas other psychedelics such as magic mushrooms generate a trip of between 3 and 5 hours.
The potency of LSD is also immediately its greatest disadvantage. It seems that of all psychedelics, LSD carries the highest risk of psychosis. In my opinion, this is primarily because the trip can last so long that eventually the dividing line between what is real and what is "fake" begins to blur. What is an illusion then, and which illusion is an illusion within an illusion? Another person might come to realize during a trip that the life we know is probably also a hallucination. Ultimately, the world we see is a representation of what we believe we see.
Other disadvantages may be:

Due to the long duration of LSD's effects, microdosing is certainly possible. Precisely measuring the dosage is difficult because LSD is so potent. After all, we are talking about micrograms of LSD, which is a factor of 1,000 less than milligrams. Another point of attention is sleep. If you have trouble falling asleep, the LSD is likely active for too long and you should use a lower dose.
Another question is whether you actually want to microdose. In the case of combating depression, burnout, anxiety, etc., a microdose is merely a medicine that suppresses symptoms. Suppose a depression arises due to an unhealthy lifestyle (which can be caused by diet). If you then no longer feel the depression due to the LSD, you will still continue to eat/live poorly and essentially continue to damage your body. So, even if you do decide to microdose, try to identify where your areas for improvement might lie.
LSD can be suitable for psychedelic therapy, but it has a very raw edge that you do not experience, or experience less, if you use psilocybin as a trip drug, for example. Therefore, LSD is not the best choice when it comes to a therapeutic psychedelic drug. Personally, I do think that a microdose to small dose of LSD in combination with a higher dose of magic mushrooms, magic truffles, or psilocybin can make a positive contribution to the therapeutic effect of trip therapy, because you can achieve a longer, mild afterglow, as it were.

We personally see the most potential in psilocybin. Below you will find an image where other users were asked what they think of LSD and psilocybin.

Are you planning to microdose with LSD or psilocybin, or are you interested in psychedelic therapy? We can advise you, being as honest as possible about the pros and cons of the various hallucinogenic substances.
