Especially in these times, our services are needed more than ever. We will therefore continue with our services while also following the rules of the COVID-19 policy. Which services are continuing can be read below.
Firstly, appointments can only proceed provided that neither the supervisor nor the participant exhibits symptoms that could indicate a coronavirus infection. These are the following symptoms.
The maximum number of attendees during our sessions is limited to the number prescribed by the COVID-19 policy. This means a maximum of currently 3 people. For in-home sessions, persons from the same household may be present.
Currently, a curfew is in effect from 9:00 PM to 4:30 AM. The sessions we conduct at home currently need to start slightly earlier to allow for some overrun and travel time to be back on time. For the sessions at the Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam, overnight stays are possible, so the start time is less relevant.

In addition to preventing viral infection, a healthy immune system is the most powerful tool to avoid getting sick. Below, we provide tips on how to strengthen your immune system against viruses.
For the time being, preventing infection seems to be only possible temporarily, unless you isolate yourself on an uninhabited island for a very long time. By delaying infection, you increase the chance that a medicine will become available that could help you. These are the practical things you could do to reduce the risk of infection.
We must try to prevent inflammation to spare our immune system from the threat of Corona. There are multiple sources that can cause inflammation. Stress also indirectly leads to additional inflammation. Therefore, avoid all forms of stress. Below you will find an overview of things you should avoid now to protect the immune system.

Quercetin is an antiviral agent and is found in dill, capers, coriander, red onion, watercress, buckwheat, kale, apples, cranberries, sweet potatoes, and blueberries, among others. Studies are currently underway using quercetin and vitamin D to inhibit viruses. Combining these two substances could very well be even more effective. We produce vitamin D in the sun through exposure to moderate UV light. Currently, the sun's intensity is too low, so you can take vitamin D as a supplement or by eating trout, salmon, mackerel, or eggs.
By eating the right foods, we can support our immune system. It is of great importance to specifically avoid inflammation-promoting foods. You must therefore really avoid all foods to which you are allergic, especially now. The things you can eat actually have inflammation-reducing effects. The following diet is titled “the anti-depression diet” but is entirely applicable to preventing inflammation so that Corona can be better handled by our relieved immune system.

We often talk about magic mushrooms containing psilocybin, but this time we are discussing the edible Shiitake mushroom. Shiitake mushrooms contain beta-glucans, including AHCC, which increase the amount of gamma interferon in the lungs. Gamma interferon is an inflammatory protein that activates the immune system in a way that inhibits viral infection but spares the membranes/cells in the lungs. AHCC activates the Natural Killer Cells, Natural Killer T-cells, and gamma-delta T-cells of the immune system, making us better prepared for a potential infection.
Although the effect of AHCC on COVID-19 has not yet been investigated, supplementation with AHCC has proven effective in reducing mortality in laboratory animals and humans in cases of infection with multiple viruses resembling the COVID-19 virus. Animal studies have demonstrated that AHCC is effective against these viruses.

The following vitamins, minerals, or supplements can provide additional help. The more you can add to your daily intake, the better. Follow the supplement labels and, if necessary, seek advice from a professional.

The essential oils that you disperse into the air with a diffuser reach the mucous membranes and lungs when inhaled. This is where the medicinal effect can take place, after which the body absorbs the substances and can exert their effects elsewhere. Since Corona endangers the respiratory system, aromatherapy can offer a solution because it has a local effect in the early stages. However, be careful never to damage the lungs with an excess of foreign substances and never to provoke allergic reactions (especially not in the case of a Corona infection).
The following essential oils have antiviral properties.
Sleeping well has a positive effect on the immune system and on the body's recovery. Read the following blog for more information on how you can improve sleep with natural remedies.
