Therapeutic mushroom or truffle trip

When we refer to a therapeutic mushroom trip, we mean a psychedelic therapeutic trip with magic truffles. This works exactly the same as magic mushrooms, and unlike magic mushrooms, it is legal in the Netherlands. Magic truffles contain fewer active substances per gram than magic mushrooms, but if the intake of truffles is increased, the outcome is the same.

Therapeutic tripping with magic mushrooms can open eyes

Therapeutic psilocybin trip

Mushrooms and magic truffles therefore contain the same active substances, namely psilocybin. Psilocybin is converted into psilocin by our own body. Psilocin can bind to the 5-HT2a receptor just like serotonin does.

Why does therapeutic mushroom therapy work so well?

We believe that psilocybin therapy works so well because a connection can be made with the subconscious. Psychological complaints often manifest as physical symptoms, and vice versa. The subconscious brain communicates largely through the body, both in a sober and waking state. This is often the reason for feelings related to body parts such as muscles, the heart, the stomach, and the bladder. Being furious, heartbroken, feeling tense, or having a knot in your stomach are well-known terms for physical complaints stemming from conscious or subconscious thinking.

Therapeutic mushroom therapy can help with these symptoms

During a mushroom trip, the increased stimulation of the 5-HT2a receptor ensures direct communication between the subconscious and the conscious mind. As a result, problems lying in the subconscious can be resolved or come to terms with. Furthermore, the mushroom trip also leads to increased BDNF, which ensures that new connections are formed in the brain and promotes the repair of damaged brain and nerve cells. This mind-altering effect can enable depressed individuals, who already have reduced activity in the frontal lobe, to increase activity in the frontal lobe.
