Normally I don't post reviews, but I wanted to share my experiences now.

I have already had four sessions with truffles, only one of which was at trip therapy with Marcel as the guide. I did the other three with other providers. So I have already gained some experience with psychedelic therapy. In this review, I explain what I experienced as the differences between the providers.

The preliminary phase

With trip therapy, the preliminary phase is based on an online intake. The advice given as preparation is personal and has helped me move in the right direction. The approach in the preliminary phase seems to be more focused on physical well-being, while seeds are already being planted in the mind through the advice provided.

The other two companies took a different approach. They started with conversations similar to what you might have with a psychologist. The focus there was more on talk therapy, something that never really helped me, but it was nice to have contact. Perhaps these conversations also laid a foundation for the actual session.

The psychedelic session

Together with Marcel, on the day of the session, I discussed the goals, what I could expect, and what I could do if certain things happened. From the preliminary discussion, I already had the feeling that this trip might be stronger than anything I had experienced before. The idea that this trip would go deeper also made me partly afraid. However, Marcel's words about being curious like a child reassured me to some extent. He also repeated a lot of positive words in his story that stuck with me. In hindsight, they were the words I needed during my trip. After drinking the magic tea, it didn't take long before the first effects began. I recognized the effects from previous trips. They were somewhat the same geometric shapes, colors, and patterns again. It was only shortly after that that I truly learned what tripping really means. Whereas with the other providers I tended to get stuck on the geometry, this time I went much deeper. I became frightened by the intensity of the trip and started feeling hot and breathless. After a few moments of fear, the word curiosity welled up inside me, and in a flash of light, my trip transformed into something indescribably beautiful. I was carried away by the music on a journey through my own life, the universe, and something I do not yet understand.

All of this was just a medium dosage according to Marcel. I sometimes wonder what would have happened at a high or heroic dosage. Still, I am very satisfied.

Aftercare

After the session, you are only left alone again once you are sober enough. That is the case everywhere. Follow-up conversations days after the session are standard at other companies. With trip therapy, you are free to have a follow-up conversation by phone. Here, too, you notice that with trip therapy, there is less focus on the conversations and more on the experience. I personally felt no need for a follow-up conversation since I couldn't put most of it into words anyway. For me, it actually seems that if I let the trip be for what it is, I feel calmer. Feeling calmer and living with trust was my goal, and I feel I have now achieved that.

My advice

I had the best and strongest trip at trip therapy. If that is your priority, then you know where to go. However, if you are looking for a program with a lot of talk therapy, there are other providers who pay more attention to that. You will, however, pay more for all the extra sessions.

Another option is to go to your own psychologist so that the health insurer covers it, and then have the psychedelic session at Triptherapie. That way, you get the best of both worlds at the lowest cost.

Thank you

Thanks again for this wonderful trip. I hope the positive effects continue, and I think the next trip will be at Trip Therapy again.
