Can you take truffles if you are taking medication?
Combining truffles (psilocybin) with medication can pose risks, depending on the type of medication you are taking:
Antidepressants (SSRIs and MAOIs):
The use of truffles together with SSRIs can reduce the effects of psilocybin, but is generally considered safe. MAOIs, however, increase the risk of serotonin syndrome, which can be dangerous.
Tramadol:
The combination of Tramadol and psilocybin is strongly advised against due to the increased risk of serotonin syndrome.

Antacids:
Medications such as antacids can slow down the conversion of psilocybin to the active substance psilocin, but are generally not dangerous in combination.

Cardiovascular medication:
Psilocybin can temporarily increase blood pressure, which can be risky in combination with certain heart medications.
