Which psychedelics besides psilocybin work for OCD?
Based on our experience, we can name LSD analogues that often work just as well, or even better, than psilocybin, for individuals with OCD. Various scientific studies have also previously shown that psychedelics, including LSD, can contribute to breaking ingrained thought patterns and beliefs, which can be beneficial for people suffering from OCD. The stimulation of serotonergic receptors in the brain by the effects of LSD can also play a role in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, which often co-occur with OCD.
One of the studies from 2016 investigated the effects of LSD-assisted psychotherapy in patients with anxiety disorders, including OCD, and found positive results. This suggests that LSD may potentially help reduce symptoms of OCD.
We have also had a number of clients who the combination of psilocybin and have tried LSD (Wizardflip). Individuals with OCD/OCS who have tried this combination have noted that they experienced a significant reduction in their symptoms.
