Fisetin? What's that in?

Fisetin is a flavonol found in high amounts in strawberries and to a slightly lesser extent in apples and persimmons. It is present in even lower doses in kiwi, peach, tomato, onion, and cucumber peels.

What do I use fisetin for?

Fisetin ensures that we age less quickly and also has these functions:

  • Fisetin promotes glutathione production in cells, particularly in nerve cells
  • Glutathione binds to fat-soluble toxins such as heavy metals, solvents, pesticides and make them water-soluble so they can be excreted through the urine
  • Glutathione protects the liver, the immune system, and DNA.
  • Fisetin helps kill cancer cells at an early stage by intervening in the innate immune system and inhibiting tumor cell growth by blocking the cell cycle.
  • Fisetin also appears to be able to slow down Huntington's disease.
  • Due to its anti-inflammatory effect, it counteracts cognitive decline in, for example, Alzheimer's disease.
