I notice structural improvement. In my environment, but certainly internally. By taking on challenging situations, I train myself to react less impulsively, but rather to analyze exactly what is being said. I have more patience for it, am getting better at it, and it happens more and more naturally. My need for alcohol is reduced, and I am generally more cheerful and present in the moment.
I'm getting a lot of positive feedback from those around me as well. I radiate more calmness. It's all very positive.
